The Idealist.org Nonprofit Career Fair (running from 12:00pm – 4:00pm) is partnering with the Working for Change conference this year. This event provides the opportunity to explore careers with a focus on social justice – with particular focus on jobs in the nonprofit field. There will be speakers, workshops, and panels to attend in order to gain more information about working for change. Presenters are employed in a variety of nonprofits, schools, and other organizations that represent pathways to social change. By attending you will gain a better understanding of career options, learn what it takes to work for change while getting paid, and network with people who have similar interests and values. In additional to the workshops, the Idealist.org Nonprofit Career Fair brings in roughly 80 nonprofit organizations that are recruiting for current and future employment, internship, and volunteer opportunities.
Working for Change is a collaborative project that has been offered annually since 2003. Previous events have been hosted by Macalester College, the College of St. Catherine, and Gustavus Adolphus College. This year, the University of Minnesota is hosting the event and will be partnering with the Idealist.org Nonprofit Career Fair. All students, alumni, and the general public are welcomed and encouraged to attend this free event.
